The densely wooded grounds of the Ashridge Estate are owned by the National Trust and there are many paths and bridleways which you can discover. The Monument built in 1832 to honour the Duke of Bridgewater - builder of the canals is worth a look and at weekend (March to Oct) you can climb to the top. |
